System Settings

System Settings are a very important part of Administrative Settings because there is so much packed into one place. It is too hard to go into detail on every tab, but I’ll go over a couple and then let you go through the rest of them in your own research.

General tab

The general tab has skype for business, name formats, currency symbols, and auto save preferences in it. That is a lot for just one tab to have.

Formats

Formats allow us to select the default formats for many things including time of day, short dates, and long dates.

Auto-Numbering

Auto numbering allows you to decide what the format is for the Entities that are enabled for Auto-Numbering. There are currently 9 Entities that are enabled for Auto-Nimbering out of the box. These Entities include Contracts, Cases, Quotes, Orders, Invoices, Campaigns, Articles, Categories, and Knowledge Articles.

The definitions are based from the Microsoft Dynamics 365 website. I encourage you to look at them. These documents are helpful when you want to learn more in depth on any subject.
